How does therapy work?

First, you will need to schedule a Free 15-minute consultation to determine if we are a good match and if telehealth therapy is right for you. Once we determine we are a good match and you are a good candidate for telehealth, we will schedule our first session together. You will need to complete some documents and have them submitted before our first session.

What is telehealth therapy?

Telehealth therapy is an innovative way for services to be delivered virtually. This allows for client to connect with therapist from the comfort of their home, office or on the go.

Is telehealth therapy safe?

Our video conference meetings are scheduled through secure platforms that ensure confidentiality and are fully HIPPA Compliant. During our inital interview we will discuss the meeting platform options and see which is right for you.

How long does treatment last?

Treatment length is a case by case situation and could varie based on your reasons for coming to therapy, consistency of attending scheduled meetings and collaboration in and out of the therapy session. In some cases, clients are able to meet their goals in 10-12 sessions. In other cases, they many need more time to achieve their goals.

If you are seeing my child, will I be included in the process?

Of course you will be included! As a parent, your collaboration is a key element in child's or adolescent's therapy sessions. It is important that there is a good rapport and trust between the child/adolescent and therapist, and your involvement may vary through the treatment process.

Do you take insurance?

At the moment, I am in the process of credentialing with some of the commonly used insurance companies. It is a process that will take some time. In the meantime, if you have Out of Network benefits I am able to provide you with a monthly statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What is your rate?

The initial session is $150 which is a 90 minute session. The initial session is a bit longer than your usual session as we take the time to get to know each other and review initial paperwork. Each additional session is $120 for a 60 minute psychotherapy session and $90 for a 45 minutes psychotherapy session.

Can online therapy be effective?

Yes! It has been proven to an effective mode of providing therapy as providers are required to utilize a secure, HIPAA complaint platform of electronic record keeping and video conferencing. However it is important to note that telehealth therapy may not be for everyone. Schedule a 15-minute free consultation and we will determine if you and/or your child/family are good candidates for telehealth therapy.

What are the benefits of telehealth therapy?

That is a great question! There are so many benefits to telehealth therapy, with studies showing that videoconferencing is as effective as face-to-face treatments. It eases the stigma around mental illness and getting help. it shortens the delay of receiving services as you are able to reach a broader span of providers. And it saves time, allowing you to avoid that commute to the therapy office. Now you can receive services from the comfort of your home.
